Thailand says it rescued lions and bears from casino used as outpost by Cambodian military

Authorities in Thailand said Friday military personnel rescued malnourished wild animals from a casino in Cambodia as deadly border clashes between the two countries continue. The animals — a lion, a lioness, a sun bear, and two Asiatic black bears — were sedated and transported to wildlife breeding centers in Thailand, the country's Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation told The Associated Press.
