The Gulf’s message to Trump is one of regional stability: Analysis

The Al Udeid military base in Qatar “plays a very important part in the stability of the region,” Faisal al-Mudahka, chief editor of Qatari media outlet Gulf Times, told Al Jazeera. He added that the US-Qatar relationship is an “exchange” as well, with the US providing “protection” for Qatar, while Doha gives Washington “intelligence and security”.
