The Trump administration is ramping up the pressure on Venezeula. Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the US plans to designate a cartel - it claims is run by Venezuela's president - as a foreign terrorist organization. In a statement released on Sunday, Rubio said:"...the Cartel de los Soles is headed by Nicolás Maduro and other high-ranking individuals of the illegitimate Maduro regime who have corrupted Venezuela’s military, intelligence, legislature, and judiciary. Neither Maduro nor his cronies represent Venezuela’s legitimate government." The announcement comes as America's most advanced aircraft carrier arrives in the Caribbean Sea. The US Southern Command released this image of the USS Gerald R. Ford Carrier Strike Group, confirming it was now there. Part of the largest build up of US firepower in the region for generations. And over the weekend, the US military released this footage of its latest strike on an alleged drug trafficking boat - killing 3 people aboard. Since early September, such US strikes have killed at least 83 people in 21 attacks in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific.
