Trump: New ships will be '100 times more powerful' than any battleship ever built

The US President has announced "Trump Class" battleships for the US navy. It comes as US forces attempted to intercept a Venezuelan-d vessel in international waters. Addressing the media alongside mock-up pictures of the new battleships, Trump says they will be the "flagships of the American naval fleet". Made of steel and weighing in at 30-40,000 tonnes, he says the vessels will be armed with "guns and missiles" as well as hypersonic weapons and "high-powered lasers". "We have lasers where you aim the laser at a target and it wipes it out.
