President Donald Trump has announced that the US military has carried out a strike on what he said was a Venezuelan drug cartel vessel that had been on its way to the United States. Three men were killed in the attack on Monday, according to Trump, who said the strikes occurred in international waters. The strike comes nearly two weeks after US forces blew up another boat off the coast of Venezuela, killing 11 people. Washington says those on board, were members of a drug cartel, but haven’t provided evidence. Hours before this latest strike - Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro denounced what he described as 'criminal' attacks on his country. Al Jazeera’s Shihab Rattansi reports from Washington, DC.
