Trump says US will ‘take over’ and ‘own’ Gaza in redevelopment plan

US President Donald Trump says he wants the US to take-over and “own” the Gaza strip. Trump made the announcement during a joint news conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He reiterated that Palestinians in the strip should be permanently relocated to neighbouring countries. Hamas says it rejects any plan to uproot Palestinians from their homeland.
