Turkiye's Erdogan on two-day visit to Saudi Arabia and Egypt to discuss regional issues

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia and Egypt. He's set to discuss regional issues including developments in Gaza and Iran. Erdogan has arrived in Riyadh, his first visit to the kingdom in more than two years. He's scheduled to meet Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The president is accompanied by foreign minister Hakan Fidan, along with several other top officials. Ties between Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have been strained since 2018 but have improved in recent months. The nations are major economic partners and have been expanding trade and defence cooperation. They're also likely to discuss a possible defence pact that includes Pakistan.
