Sir Keir Starmer is currently in the skies over Asia, and will be touching down in Beijing in the next few hours. He will become the first UK prime minister to carry out a visit to China in eight years, with Theresa May the last to make the journey in 2018. On board Starmer's flight are around 50 business executives, as the PM hopes to secure some better trading relations and thaw what has been a somewhat frosty relationship between the two countries over the past few years. On arrival, he will be met by a guard of honour and Starmer - along with Business Secretary Peter Kyle and economic secretary Alice Rigby will then head in convoy to their hotel, before the PM addresses his businesses delegation a short while later.
