There's been much praise from diplomatic circles for the new peace agreement between the DRC, Rwanda and the US. The hope is this deal will end the fighting in the eastern part of the DRC, which has gone for decades and cost millions of lives. The deal was signed in Washington DC, where President Donald Trump welcomed the foreign ministers from the two African countries. It follows on from prior mediation by Qatar. The parties agreed to work on respecting territorial integrity and ending hostilities.
