Winter flu cases 'rapidly rising' as NHS warns hospitals are being flooded

The NHS has warned that hospitals are being flooded by winter flu cases taking up thousands of beds in wards across the country. Data released this week revealed one in 18 hospital beds are currently occupied by flu patients. That's four times higher than at this time last year.
