Yemen turmoil : Yemeni government takes control of STC-held area

Divisions have emerged among separatists in southern Yemen. A delegation from the Southern Transitional Council (STC) announced in Saudi Arabia on Friday that the movement had been dissolved following talks in Riyadh. However, a day later, the STC national assembly issued a counter-statement, declaring the disbandment decision neither legally nor politically valid. The assembly is also demanding the release of its detained delegation in Riyadh. Meanwhile, the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council has made an important announcement on TV.
