Palestinians celebrated in the streets of Deir al-Balah in central Gaza as a much-anticipated ceasefire deal came into effect at 11:15 am local time after a three-hour delay. In the initial six-week phase of the deal, 33 of the remaining 98 hostages will be exchanged for Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
