Green Party announce results of leadership contest

The Green Party has spent the last few weeks in a leadership contest, and the result will be announced at 11am. Unlike other parties, the Greens' constitution mandates that members have a vote on the party leadership every two years - but last year's was postponed due to the general election. Adrian Ramsay is standing again for co-leader, although Carla Denyer decided not to. Instead, he is standing alongside fellow MP Ellie Chowns. The other candidate for the leadership is Zack Polanski - the current deputy leader, who has picked up a vast following on social media with his eco-populist strategy. He is very much the favourite to win - although he is not currently a sitting MP, and would be the only party leader not in the Commons, although he is a member of the London Assembly.
