Iran brands Israel's strikes a 'war on humanity' after showing child victims, seeks UN action

Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, condemned Israel’s attacks as “a war against humanity”, displaying images of child victims during a Tehran briefing. He accused Israel of defying international law and urged global action to hold it accountable, demanding a binding UN resolution. Baghaei claimed the strikes, backed by the US, sabotaged ongoing diplomacy, leaving Iran “taken by surprise”. He dismissed renewed negotiations as “pointless” while branding Washington an “accomplice” for its contradictory stance. The spokesman framed the conflict as a test for nations believing in “peaceful co-living”, insisting the Security Council must declare Israel’s actions illegal.
