Iran’s youth, who make up over a quarter of the country’s 92 million people, are struggling with deep uncertainty following the 12-day war with Israel and the US, and fears over renewed sanctions under the “snapback” mechanism. University students in Tehran say they are living between fear and resilience, facing high unemployment and dwindling prospects. Many worry about rising exchange rates, visa restrictions, and a possible return to isolation. Beyond economics, the anxiety is psychologically driven by feelings of powerlessness and disillusionment. Some students express both anger and pride over Iran’s response to recent conflict.
