Israel has allowed five UN humanitarian aid trucks into the Gaza Strip for what Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called "practical and diplomatic reasons." Netanyahu warned that close allies would not tolerate "images of mass starvation." The UK, France and Canada have condemned the expanded Israeli attacks in Gaza and threatened "further concrete actions" if Israel does not halt its offensive and lift its blockade on Gaza. International humanitarian organizations insist that far more aid trucks are required entry into the Strip to feed the starving Palestinian population.
