Israel expands settler powers in West Bank, risking de facto annexation: Analysis

Israel's security cabinet has approved a series of sweeping measures, expanding its powers across the occupied West Bank. They include easing the sale of Palestinian land to Israeli settlers, facilitating illegal land grabs. They also include expanding the powers of Israeli authorities in areas under Palestinian control. Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas has called the Israeli decision as dangerous, illegal and equal to de facto annexation.
